What is UniWhen?

UniWhen is a platform that estimates the chances of getting into specific universities with a given profile using AI simulations.

About & Objectives

Feeling Y Combinator and Founders Inc are way too far? Don?t worry, you will eventually get there, but first, you may join our program to build up a foundation.

We provide you with a product?UniWhen. You will be one of the founders of UniWhen during the summer program. You are responsible for handling tasks such as coding, marketing, outreach, etc. You will also be responsible for making decisions on the product.

Basically, this is a mini founder experience. Here are some of the objectives explained:

Coding

We need help adding new features to the website. We will discuss what else should be added to the web app and how we will implement the features.

Marketing

We need help reaching new audiences and channeling them to the web app to generate new registrations or sales. We will develop marketing strategies based on what we have right now and on the analysis of previous successful UniWhen marketing campaigns.

Outreaching

This part will be more complicated, but basically, we are reaching out to schools and organizations.

Nobody has a fixed role, so just do what you want. The ultimate goal is to have fun during the program and to learn something from it; zero pressure. The flexibility is great, as long as you can finish the work, you can do it whenever you want.

At the end of the program, there might be revenue or there might not. Either way, it is a great opportunity for us to learn. This is not some life-changing YC-level startup accelerator. But we see a lot of students are lost. When we hop on LinkedIn, we can see a lot of successful startups that got into YC or secured a lot of funding. Most of them are young founders. You might think, 'That's far, I know nothing.' USFP is built to solve the issue. We don't aim to get to the top without all that grinding, but to build a foundation that helps your acceleration. We have a product, learn how to pitch it, and learn how to run it. That is basically the first chapter of "How to Start a Business 101".

What You Can Get From the Program

We want all participants to walk away with pitching, coding, and marketing skills; things that are practical for a business owner. We want all participants to acquire something you probably could not get from enrolling in schools. You may get to know how to use Google Analytics, how to promote on social media, how to pitch a product, how to make a good pitching video, etc. Unlike diploma or university programs, we don't have a fixed learning schedule; you learn when you have to use something.

You may also then be eligible for the UniWhen Profit Sharing Scheme (UPSS). If we earn money in the near future, you may get a share.

Participants may request certificates. They will be issued accordingly on program completion.

And hey, you will get free McDonald's from us as well.

Eligibility

As long as you are between 18 and 25, no matter what institution you are in and what you are currently enrolled in, you are welcome.

Fees

None! Free of charge.

UniWhen Profit Sharing Scheme (UPSS)

We hope that after the program, people will walk away as a real founder. So, we created UPSS, a profit-sharing program within and after the program.

It validates for 3 years after the program ends.

Kyle and I hold a baseline 50% of the full profit.

If only one founder comes in, Ricky and Kyle will hold 75% of the full profit, and the other 25% goes to the new founder.

If two founders come in, Ricky and Kyle will hold 50% of the full profit, and the other 50% will be split between the new founders.

If more founders join, Ricky and Kyle will still hold the baseline 50% of the full profit, and the other 50% will be split among the other founders.
